Privacy policy

Last updated 8 November 2026

PayZuri is a point of sale for shops. A shop's sales, stock and customer details belong to the shop. We keep them safe so the shop can run, and we don't sell them or use them for advertising.

Who we are

PayZuri is built and run by Etienne Maway in Uganda. For anything about your data, message or call us on WhatsApp at +256 758 092 320.

This website

The PayZuri app: what a shop stores in it

We use this only to run the service for that shop: completing sales, keeping stock right, syncing devices, making reports and backups, and helping when the shop asks for support.

Where it is kept

Who can see it

We never sell personal data. We don't write PINs, login tokens, payment secrets or full phone numbers into our system logs.

How long we keep it

For as long as the shop uses PayZuri. When a shop stops, we give the owner a copy of their data if they ask, then delete it from our server within 90 days. Copies in backups disappear as those backups expire, within 12 months at most.

Your choices

A shop owner can ask us for a copy of the shop's data, to correct it, or to delete it. A customer or staff member whose details a shop recorded can ask that shop, or ask us and we will help the shop answer. We follow Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019. Contact us on WhatsApp at +256 758 092 320.

Children

PayZuri is a tool for businesses and isn't meant to be used by children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell shop owners directly about any important change before it takes effect.
